Slow Fish 2016 seeks to connect fishers and chefs around the world to join with fishers and chefs in Louisiana. In the spirit of popular cooking shows and contests, we challenge chefs to partner with a fisher in their region to host a Fisher-Chefs Alliance Dinner to fund the fisher to attend Slow Fish 2016 in New Orleans. If the chef is also able to make the trek to New Orleans, we will partner her/him with an established New Orleans chef to 1) stäge in the hosting chef’s restaurant and also 2) partner with the local chef to prepare a dish at one or more Slow Fish events. Slow Fish events include 1) Lenten Friday Night Fish Fry, 2) Chefs’ Alliance Kitchen at the Slow Fish Festival on Saturday March 12 and 3) the Louisiana Seafood Boil and Cajun Boucherie on Sunday March 13 at Docville Farm in Violet, LA, ~ 10 miles from the site of Slow Fish.
